TERMS OF USE – Patients for the sDoktor Mobile Application

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use regulate the rules and conditions under which patients (“Users”) use the sDoktor mobile application (“Application”). The Application is provided by:
SKVID d.o.o., Jalševečka cesta 40, 10040 Zagreb, OIB: 27197549120.

The Application is a software tool intended for two-way communication between patients and their selected healthcare institution, enabling the exchange of relevant information and content. A patient using the Application is an adult individual who voluntarily registers and accepts these Terms of Use.
Use of the Application is not possible without accepting these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • User / Patient – a natural person who uses the sDoktor mobile application to communicate with their healthcare institution or doctor.
  • Clinic / Doctor – a healthcare institution or authorised healthcare professional who communicates with the patient through the Application.
  • SKVID – the provider of technical infrastructure and the owner of the sDoktor Application. SKVID does not provide medical services and has no insight into the content of communication.

3. Purpose of the Application

sDoktor enables simple and secure digital communication between the patient and the clinic.

The Application is not a medical system, is not a certified healthcare platform, and does not provide medical advice, opinions, or diagnostic services. The Application serves solely as a communication tool, and the selected healthcare institution or doctor is solely responsible for all medical information, advice, and decisions.

The Application is not a medical device and does not fall under the category of medical products under applicable regulations.

4. Registration and Access

To use the Application, the patient enters:

  • their mobile phone number (verification)
  • other information displayed to the doctor (name, address, etc.)

SKVID d.o.o. and its employees do not have access to the information entered by the patient into the Application for identification purposes towards the clinic.
The User is responsible for ensuring that all entered information is accurate and truthful.

5. Rules of Use

The User agrees not to:

  • use the Application in a manner contrary to law or these Terms
  • interfere with the Application, its security functions, or attempt unauthorised access
  • misuse communication with the clinic
  • send offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • send content that infringes the rights of others

The User acknowledges that communication through the Application does not replace emergency medical care.

6. Privacy and Security

SKVID d.o.o. collects and processes only:

  • the patient’s phone number
  • technical data necessary for system functionality

SKVID d.o.o. has no access to messages, attachments, or any other data exchanged between the patient and their clinic.
All details are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

7. Liability

SKVID d.o.o.:

  • is not responsible for the content of communication between the patient and the doctor
  • is not responsible for advice, opinions, or information received through the Application
  • cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service in the event of technical issues, but makes all reasonable efforts to ensure stable and reliable system operation

The User is responsible for their own device, internet access, and safeguarding passwords / access codes.

8. Termination of Use

SKVID may temporarily or permanently disable access to the Application if:

  • the User violates these Terms
  • the Application is used unlawfully
  • the system is interfered with or service security is compromised

The User may stop using the Application at any time and request deletion of their phone number from the system.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, design, graphics, text, and other components of the Application are owned by SKVID and protected by copyright.
The User may not copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise misuse the Application’s elements.

10. Changes to the Terms

SKVID may periodically update these Terms. In the event of changes, the new version will be published in the Application and on the website.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
Any disputes shall be resolved before the competent court in Zagreb.
